Thinking that the reason you're not where you want to be in your career is because you don't have a mentor to hold you hand along the way is one of the WORST beliefs you can have if you ACTUALLY want to be successful in the beauty industry.

In this video, I share the 4 most common myths about mentorship, plus I share the 4 things you actually DO need to have in order to have your dream career as a freelance Makeup Artist.

Your content is soooooo helpful. I look forward to viewing these videos! Keep them coming. Let’s be honest here. For me, when i began asking some “mentors” or muas who was well known in the business they act like makeup was G49 classified so i had to learn the important things like color correction, foundation matching, etc. by reading books like Kevyn Aucoin, Bobbi Brown etc. I even became an esthetician. I am hungry and I’m going to keep pushing until i get where i need to be. I hate to say alot of people want you to be great but not greater than them. You are right about networking and referrals. It works! Ive met alot of awesome people and changed my circle…. one for the better.

Hey Michelle! Thank you so much for tuning in!

Yes, folks can be a bit tight-lipped when it comes to sharing information! I actually decided to skip the headache and pay for classes (or read books, watch videos, etc) to learn a lot of what I wanted to know! Most of mentors actually aren’t even Makeup Artists!

Thanks for watching and sharing your experience! #commentcrew <3
