The Futur Joe Duffy
I typed I big list, from Jesus to Potatoe Jet. Chris Do to Tim Ferris…then accidentally lost it.
My main thought is that we are blessed now to be able to ‘digitally surround ourselves’ with greatness.
I have seen the clear benefit that mentors make through my years working in recruitment. Almost without fail the high achievers had great mentors and/or great bosses through their careers.
Big love to you Chris and all The Futr crew!! ???????
Chris Do is my hero and i learned how to be confident and how to embrace myself, my actions and its consequences.
BTW, there is much more than that which i learned from him.
Roberto Blake has an an aggressive way of delivering the message but the message is full of knowledge and useful
I’ll have a look
This is a really good topic and something I wholeheartedly agree with.
I’ve never personally had a mentor but being a design recruitment agency freelancer for over 6 years now, I have had the chance over the years to work with many different creative professionals in many different studios.
I’ve seen the good and there great!
I’ve been fortunate to meet some really good creative directors along the way and observe many ways to approach a project.
Being freelance has definitely allowed me to cherry-pick the best practices, and learn from senior designers and creative directors!
Cris Do and The Futur staff are heroes to me, releasing content with quality I didn’t even know existed. The lessons I learned in this channel made possible for me to build my design business, and get insights that I couldn’t get in any of my online courses. So thanks again to you all, glad to have watched your content for over 2 years now. Cheers from Brazil ?
Recently I was crying for being alone in this fight of facing the reality… I thought maybe what’s lacking with me is a mentor.. Maybe it’s just an excuse but when I opened my youtube this showed up and I realized that there’s people like Chris and the futur who makes videos for those who lacks motivation.. I’m really thankful man.. Thank you so so much.. more powers and I really hope that team futur will reach out billions of people.. Thaaanks much ?
This is great Chris! ?? thanks for always keep inspiring us!
You’re very welcome
This is damn good storytelling!
Moismai thank you my man!!!!
I’ve watched this video twice already, chills both times! Thanks always.
My heroes:
Jessica Walsh
Barbara Kruger
Sophia Amoruso
Mike Giant
Aaron Draplin
and of course Chris Do!
Awesome list!!
Chris is my superman ?♂️
Still waiting for that, oh so scrumptious, book to arrive ?
@Tristan Bailey Well hopefully, one day, they will be interesting enough to somebody for them to get some value from them! ?
Looks like you have some interesting videos of your own too.
So so close now.
This is SO timely. I love this video and it has so many great points. I have been seeing so much about “get a mentor” or “be a mentor” and started wondering if I need to pursue it especially since I am in the process of a career shift. The line from Gary saying, “I also think that most people that become mentor-thirsty are actually using it as an excuse not to do.” truly cut like a knife. Thanks for the motivation.
…I’m so hijacking this.
That language creates FOMO. No need.
This video was exceptional. Great advices, altogether in less than five minutes. That’s pure gold.
I don’t know if I ever could have even think of having a mentor without your massive and generous support. You guys are doing a great great job to change our mindset to lead to a good future. Cannot thank you enough. You guys are my heroes and forever will be!
That was awesome, I love “hijack them”!There is nothing new un der the sun.
Ash Thorp, Danny Yount, Ryan Summers. Had classes with 2 of them, listened to their talks and podcasts, and learned a lot about the how and the why as opposed to tutorials. Definitely helped me level up faster than doing it on my own.
Excellent video amen.
I’d never thought of the mentor vs hero scenario. Excellent thought.
Thanks, James
Like the idea of learning from hero’s. Puts a name to something I do as well as seeking mentors. 3 hero’s on this channel
I *really* enjoy the quality and variety of educational videos on this channel.
All I can say is *keep* *it* *coming* ! 🙂
That sounds exactly what I needed to hear. What biographies would you recommend to read?
@The Futur and who has been your hero recently?
Pick a hero. Then read their bio.
I allways think, what would Chris Do?
Haha
**ahem** Do do.
What an awesome perspective!
“not all of us have access to mentors” i completely agree. so im really grateful to Chris Do and the futur . Chris do is my hero and i’m really thankful to him.
Thank you.
