Mentoring Training for new SSM mentors.

This half day training course covers the key principles and practice of mentoring, and forms the basis for all mentoring relationships organised through the Society for Social Medicine.
During this course you will:
- Discuss mentoring principles
- Practice mentoring skills including active listening, open questioning and giving effective feedback
- Practice mentoring through role play
We will allow space for discussion of ongoing mentoring practice, to share experiences and learning among more experienced mentors.

Prior to joining the training we will ask all participants to do a small amount of preparatory work (20-40mins) which will be circulated in early November.
