Covid generation: UK youth unemployment ‘set to triple to 80s levels’ “Covid generation” could be lost to long periods out of work.

The RF researchers said unemployment among economically active 18- to 29-year-olds could hit 17% by late 2020. This is the same level as in 1984, when Britain was undergoing economic disruption under Margaret Thatcher’s government.
The Next Chosen Generation CiC have put this four part series is aimed at equipping young people aged 16yrs – 25yrs with the right employment skills, so that they can be ahead of their competition when it comes to getting their first job and in career development.

Host: Yetunde Adeshile MAPM, MBA, BSc (Hons)
Founder and CEO of the Next Chosen Generation CIC and Director of RJ Emmanuel Ltd.
Yetunde is a Registered Project Management Professional who’s work experience spans across the Public, Private and community sector. Yetunde has delivered projects including the London 2012 Olympics, Kings Cross Station, East London Line Extension, Airport security systems, East West Rail and other. In her capacity as Head of Projects and Senior Project Management, she has recruited, trained and developed project teams for her clients. Yetunde is also a passionate leader, mentor, coach, trainer author and multiple award winner.
Guest Trainer: Morenike Ajayi (B.sc, M.BA, FCPFA, Prince2) is a Multiple award winner, a chartered Accountant, Author, Inspirational public speaker, Executive producer and TV presenter. She is happily married to Kenny and they have a son.
Her restlessness and need for change led to the birth of “Career Nuggets” in June 2015. Career Nuggets is a social enterprise comprising a Career development TV programme and an event arm designed to educate, inspire and empower people aspiring to advance in the workplace via workshops, seminars and a career club. Morenike is also the Executive producer and TV presenter of “Career Nuggets” TV programme, aired on Sky 193 Monday – Wednesday at 5pm and Sunday at 3pm. In addition, Morenike is the Commercial and Finance Director for London Pensions Funding Authority, where she has the responsibility of overseeing a £6bn Pension Fund.
Guest Trainer: Yetunde Elebuibon-CraigYetunde is an IT consultant with extensive leadership experience in productivity improvements and performance management. In her professional career, she has built a library of models and reusable knowledge-based assets to produce consistent and streamlined business intelligence results. She had evaluated the consistency and importance of different business intelligence data against needs to determine optimal courses of action. She studied at the University of Wolverhampton, where she passed her master’s degree with distinction. She is a certified trainer in lifelong adult training. She is an award-winning community champion and the founder of Knowledge Pool, a career enhancement organisation that offers pieces of digital training to members of the community. Some of her community projects had provided digital devices, digital guide book, internet access, and training that had re-shaped the digital trends in her community. Supporting people with no/low digital skills to become independent users of digital devices during the COVID-19 pandemic bagged her a nomination for the Doncaster Chamber of Commerce’s business hero award in July 2020. She is a mentor, career coach, a STEM ambassador, a promoter of apprenticeship. Successful at developing and improving training programs for employees at all levels.She is a minister at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Kingdom Life Convocation in Doncaster, where she performs activities that brings the church closer to the people.
Guest Trainer: Sanchia Alasia Sanchia Alasia is an award winning specialist in equality diversity and Human Resource. She currently works at London Southbank University as the Head of equality, diversity and inclusion. She’s an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. Sanchia is also a counsellor and former Mayor for Barking and Dagenham.
