The client in this scene is participating in a, "Mirror," exercise. This exercise enables the client to face her imperfections by looking at herself in the mirror and verbalizing all the broken things she does not honor within herself. As you see this exercise is VERY powerful! It assists the client in facing her authentic self so that her healing process may began. Pain has to be acknowledged and witnessed prior to it being healed. An individual has to FEEL, DEAL, then HEAL. We often wear or hide behind a mask that consist of the person we believe others would accept or want us to be. Not understanding that there is NOTHING more beautiful than the authentic person you were created to be.

Oh wow, you are so humble and that’s what going to get you to where God wants you to be in your career. Just want to say that overall I think you did a good job, and that you are one beautiful lady I was just starring at you wondering how can I get my hair like that -loving that hairstyle on you, sis!! lol

Being interrupted at 7:20 to ask if she was broken? Just WOW. Absolutely, it is therapeutic–and this is common with coaches who are not trained and certified specifically in the area of coaching. The lines are definitely being blurred as well has the “hats” being interchanged. This is NOT life coaching, esp considering the client was not able to fully articulate the depth of her emotions without interruption, “being read” or the direction being changed. While it wasn’t bad, it’s was so far from coaching and looked as if the client was having to defend or explain herself.

Wow, I watched this video as a part of research because I am going through the process of becoming a life coach-but boy was I in for a surprise with this session. Without all the details I just want to say thankyou. Thankyou for showing what a coach does, thankyou for allowing me through your work to reveal my mask and thankyou for allowing me to realize that I have to go to a place again that will make me whole. I am so proud of this young lady for so many reasons. She was so open and honest about who she is, where she wants to go and what impels her growth. She is just like me and I needed to see that. She is so beautiful on the exterior yet has a lot of work to do. I had already judged myself going into this field and now I know why. Im clear as to where the life coach journey has to start for me but I want you two and the rest of the world know- I am loving myself, I will be successful, and I am somebody-Thank you

Destiny Harris Destiny, you are wonderful, successful, and all the things you believe you are! Keep believing in yourself, continue doing the work, and never stop loving yourself! You deserve all that your heart desires however, you have to believe it first! I believe in you…… ?

okay you are the one who is talking the majority of the time..
You calling this life coaching gives people the wrong idea of what life coaching is.

You primary tell her about why she feels the way she does. I’m sure you are a great therapist!

    1. Marian Hanson Confidence Coach

It’s just her personal style I think so it will work for some clients and not others. I see this as more coaching than counselling because I’ve never spoken that much in my therapy sessions.

I really enjoy everything the advice is healing and as far as the way she dress it motivating because it is the way she express her self as a women it does not have anything to do with her client , she seems to be professional an d classy at the same time I am glad she dont let the fear of what others say stop her from recording and sharing this video because so many peope need it Thanks Dr. Bryant

Keitha Lashawn Martin Keitha thank you, for your words of wisdom! I don’t live in dogma. My intent is always of service and love. The individuals that can’t feel that presence have to work on THIER barriers that are keeping them from receiving my intentional projection. I’ve learned and I teach skills on how to let folks deal with their “stuff. There is a healthy balance between helping someone and taking on their self projecting. Sending you a cup overflowing with favor! ??

Great job Dr. Bryant! Amazing process and such power in your words. This was such a great help. It offered those whom look for someone to pour into their life not only emotionally and intellectually but also spiritually a great opportunity to excercise some restraints and reach for personal goals of long-term happiness and fulfillment. May God grant you increase to continue to be a blessing to others. Be blessed. B

I didn’t hear the client saying that she was coming from a place of fear or pain. She said she wants advice on how to get more from all the hard work she’s doing. The Dr. went waaaaay left field. That lady did not come there for that. The client is in a healthy place, she just wants to boost her career.

Dr. Bryant this session had me in tears. I really love how you guided the client to the Big Motivating Factor behind all her emotional distress. This was so inspiring and I want to give the client a great big hug for being so open and courageous towards the middle of the session. I am taking a course to become a health coach and you truly inspired me. I hope that one day I am able to serve people in this same manner as you.

    1. Dr. Cheyenne Bryant

Yes, isn’t she amazingly bold! Love her transparency & vulnerability. Keep harvesting your dream. One day your look back at how worth it, it was. Praying for your abundant journey!

  7. J Mitchell Parker

I have been truly inspired to begin honestly confronting my own emotions. I felt as if I could have been sitting in her place. So many of the challenges you helped her to uncover are the exact challenges that I know “intellectually” I have to face. Thank you.

I love this, you coach like me….from the whole body standpoint….this is transpersonal therapy…. broadening perspective, heightening awareness….coaching physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually… You are bringing her back to love which is abundance from her fear based ego in her subconscious programming…. Shes stuck in intellect because shes identifying with her accomplishments external to her physical embodiment which is absolutely wonderful because this is her survival for society…..however, inside buried in her is her shadow aspects where shes pushed things away that split her conciousness that keep her broken…. shes not loving on herself enough which has caused weight gain….I see a bit of people pleaser syndrome because she wants to be validated loved and valued…. being a caretaker has corrupted her internally ….which is hard for most of us….. I love how she explained emotional pain in the body….sometimes this requires deeper inner child work…..taking a client back into those emotions as a child….retriggering…….to open a space to dissociate the adult self versus child self…. where you recall memory, trauma, abuse, and reframe the childhood wound…..like reparenting. She was socialized and learned her behaviour through pattern from her lineage which is typically predisposed borrowed fear from our loved ones , caretakers, ancestors….. so shes integrating and healing predisposed beliefs and ideas…. wonderful job….deep coaching…..loved this….true healing….???

I actually saw myself in the client’s position as this whole video related to me soo so much. You’ve inspired me to pursue a path in physiology and  most importantly a role as a life coach is in the works for my future. Do have any other sites or material that I could view or listen to! I would love to learn more. Thanks again for enlightening my life and allowing me to see an outlet that I can plug into to making a difference in this world (:

She needed to be interrupted. She was going on and on about her education and languages abilities, not realising that her childhood was the issue (not her accomplishments) which she was using as a mask to hide her pain.
